Finding a therapist can be confusing and anxiety-producing-- something you don't need if you are already stressed out.  You may be dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship problems or career stress, in addition to the regular ups and downs of living life.  Chances are that seeking help from a therapist was not your first attempt to deal with whatever is causing you distress; most of us first seek help from friends, family, clergy, self-help (or simply plain old self-will) before talking to a professional.  It is only after exhausting all other options that we are ready to commit to the time and effort of talking to a therapist.Congratulations on having reached that point! It is my hope that I can provide enough information on this site to give you a beginning idea as to whether I might be able to provide the kind of help you need, as well as my general approach and ideas about therapy.
